| John H. Klein has served in various executive roles at a number of U.S. based Life Sciences companies and is a recognized leader in the U.S. generic pharmaceuticals industry. In 1990, Mr. Klein acquired Zenith Laboratories where he served as Chairman, President, CEO and Director of the Executive Committee. Under Mr. Klein’s leadership, Zenith obtained over 250 generic approvals over a forty-month period and grew from $25 million in sales to over $250 million. In 1995, Zenith was acquired by IVAX Corporation. From that time until 1996, Mr. Klein presided as the President, Executive Officer, and a member of the IVAX Executive Committee of managed care subsidiaries. In that capacity, Mr. Klein was responsible for nine plants, three distribution centers, and over 2000 employees at IVAX. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Klein served as CEO of MIM Corporation, a pharmacy benefit services provider. Prior to MIM, Mr. Klein served as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the worldwide Pharmaceutical Generic Industry Association from 1995 to 1996 and from 1993 to 1994, respectively. Mr. Klein serves on the Board of Directors of Kindred Healthcare and is a member of the Executive Committee of Hackensack University Medical Center. |
